One of the new facilities is At-Taubah Mosque. Previously, the public and passengers only had access to a small prayer room in the terminal area, while the nearest mosque was quite far away.
"Hopefully, this mosque can be used well for worship while waiting for the bus to depart," expressed Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) Head, Syafrin Liputo during the inauguration of At-Taubah Mosque at Tanjung Priok Terminal, North Jakarta, Thursday (12/19).

He urged terminal officers and locals to maintain and care for the available facilities.
"The role of residents is important to maintain these facilities. With routine monitoring and maintained cleanliness, the terminal will leave a positive impression on anyone who comes," he explained.
He hoped that this new facility would provide comfort for passengers and attract more terminal users.
"The facilities and infrastructure provided are bus departure and arrival waiting rooms, parking counters, and a cafeteria for food and drink needs. They are designed to make the terminal more friendly and comfortable for the public," he explained.
He went on to say that the momentum for the inauguration of this new facility coincided with the Christmas and New Year 2024 holidays and it was hoped that it would be able to serve an increase in passengers. He hoped, this terminal could be a comfortable and safe starting point for travel for the community because it is supported by better facilities.
"It will give a meaningful impression for people to feel safe, comfortable, and satisfied using Tanjung Priok Terminal as a transportation hub," he continued.
UPTAJ Head, Syamsul Mirwan explained the mosque construction stemmed from people's needs who often crowded the previous small prayer room.
With a commitment to continue improving service and comfort, Tanjung Priok Terminal is ready to welcome the Christmas 2024 transportation period with better facilities for passengers.
"Hopefully, it can improve public service, especially in providing comfort for worship," he closed.
